Updates make editing users easier and enhance image placement options
A pair of updates provide far-reaching usability enhancements across all modules of the XDe and also add many new options for images inserted into content using the image-bank. To explain these updates we have produced two screen cast videos that explore the changes and give several use-case examples.

XDe update brings logging and navigation enhanacements

Headlining the latest XDe updates are new navigation icons and a series of enhancements to the audit trail. The latest roll-out, as usual, also includes various bug fixes and a slew of optimizations that will improve site speed and accessibility.

Enhancements to the XDe CMS help control content for mobile devices

After going dark for 24h participating in the global #SOPAstrike
The Pawprint.net homepage during the #SOPAstrike
On January 17th at 8pm PST we intentionally replaced the PawPrint.net home page with a message effectively disabling our web site for the first time since 1994. This extraordinary action was taken to show support for the thousands of web sites and millions of people who spent the day rallying against this flawed proposed legislation.

Schedule Tweets and Facebook Updates with the enhanced Chirp module
Just released updates to the XDe CMS Chirp module that allows you to schedule updates for social networks as well as on-site viewing. Just set a future date and the update will automatically publish at the time you choose as much as a year in advance.

As of August 1st IE7 will no longer be supported
According to a June 1st Google Blog post the company will be dropping support for older version browsers starting August 1st. This is great news for the web as it will hopefully start to push more late adopters forward and allow web developers to continue to innovate.

Understanding the recent Amazon Cloud outage.
The PawPrint.net web site is finally back online after a 3 day outage due to the recent, massive failure of the Amazon Cloud data center in Virginia. Many of our customers and colleagues were also affected by what some are calling the "Great Internet Fail of 2011" This article is geared for those who are still trying to understand what happened and how to prevent it.
