Incomplete and suspiious install
I just loaded this w2k OS on a freshly formatted drive and installed a few things like Mozilla Firefox, some mp3 burners, WS_FTP...
In my admin local settings temp folder, I found the user guide pdf for World Time 5.5 and some of those files with World time extensions .lyr & /lyr.md. and the wave files and all. The readme is for version 6. I also found an html file from my proxy filter blocking access to the kazaa web siteīs ad (doubleclick.net) "thingy", if youīll excuse the tech term :) I used WT in the past and I think itīs a great program, so thanks to the author. Whatever app tried to install it didnīt do a very good job because itīs not installed and the only exe in that temp dir is _VWUPSRV.EXE Any Idea which program might have tried to install WorldTime? TIA Mike |

Re: Incomplete and suspiious install
Hi,
I had a similliar problem. I unpacked to a temporary installation folder and started the installation from there. A lot of errors occured. It went fine, when I unpacked directly to the destination folder and started the installation from there. May be this will help you. regards Walter |
